December 2

I have been listening to a couple podcasts by guys who have been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.  And one of them in particular has had a tremendous effect on me.  They both are looking death right in the face, and to hear them talk about what matters most to them makes me think about what matters most to me.

I find joy today in being alive and healthy.
I find joy in a body that can run and jump and sit on the floor and move furniture.
I find joy in sitting around the table after supper and reading The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
and
laughing together with the ones I love.

My tomorrow is just as uncertain as a cancer patient's is.
But I have TODAY!
