Way #6

On Saturday after Mark's collapse, I talked at length with Jodie.  At one point during our conversation, she told me not to refuse any food that was offered to us.  She said it is the way that people can help when they don't know what else to do.

So I took her advice!

This is just the food we received the next day.

A couple days later, when no one was home except Sam, he heard people in our house.  He ran upstairs to find our good friends C and C bringing in a crock-pot-full of food for that night, two different kinds of soup, a big bowl of fruit, and a jar of nuts.

And it just kept coming!  The kids found it amazing and kind of funny!

I froze a lot of meals and we had food to last us a couple weeks.

I cannot even express how much it meant and just how great it was to not have to worry about drumming up something to fix or actually making something.

Prepared meals is my love language!
