The Music of My Summer

Here are the albums I've listened to the most this summer. They've accompanied me many a mile.
#1

According to Jeremy Jones in this Christianity Today article, lyrically,
"Love and War" is "prophetic, incisive, achingly human, and longingly spiritual."  That's just how I feel about it.

Something else that makes me like Josh Garrels even more: "As many of you already know, we felt impressed to give away “Love & War” along with all the albums proceeds for one full year…and we had no idea what to expect. Were we being foolish? Would we be able to survive? Would this free gift mean anything to anyone else, or would it just get lost in the shuffle of a million other albums online?  By the end to the year we’d given away 125,000 copies of the album. We were able to give away about $40,000 of the album’s proceeds to non-profits, musicians, missions, and and ministries. And I’m excited to say we were not only able to survive, but in true Jubilee fashion we ended the year having paid off all of our debts!"

Here's just a little taste of some of my very favorites
(although, that is hard to say because I love all the songs!)

Thanks, Sarah Jane, for sending me this one.  I had already downloaded the album a few months before, but had not taken the time to get it in my blood.  This song was the one that did it for me!!

And this album is just fun.
There's no deeply meaningful lyrics, but to get your toes tapping, well, it'll do that for sure.

This one is my very favorite:

Wouldn't it be so great to go to one of their concerts?  Looks like the best time!

So, there it is!

* you can listen to both albums by just hitting the "play" button over there in the right sidebar.
you are welcome!
