What we mostly did this day was to travel. It was extremely hot, I remember--too hot to even eat our picnic lunch outside. We also encountered a pretty rough rainstorm. I "made" Mark pull off the road because I had never seen anything like it before and was concerned for our safety, especially with two kids who did not belong to us (and we had some freaked out kids, for sure). Mark waited for about 8.2 minutes before deciding that it had "let up a little" (ha!), all the while about to dance a jig of impatience watching the rain and the five or six cars that dared to actually keep going. I do have to say that he's great at driving, even in less-than-ideal conditions, so I wasn't surprised when he got us safely through the storm.
And there was singing.
And we arrived in Dayton sometime after 8:00 p.m. Dan was in Mexico on a missions trip, but we had fun anyway. The kids were wild and loud (As you can see, Claire crashed on the floor). The adults might have been too. We appreciate Gwen letting us invade their home for a few hours.
