I'm expecting Mark to pull into the driveway around midnight from a 3-day trip to Toronto.  I'd like to stay awake until he gets here, so I thought maybe blogging about our day would help me do that.

This day turned out to be a lot simpler than I had imagined it would be.  I thought I had a Baby Shower Brunch, but I was off by a week.  Jack had an all-day handball tournament.  And we had a birthday party to attend in the afternoon.  I didn't know about the tournament when I RSVP-ed for the party, so because Mark wasn't here, I decided the party would have to go on without us.  I didn't feel too bad about it as I knew there would be a LOT of other people there, and the Billingtons would not even be missed.

So, all we had today was Jack's tournament.  Thank goodness it was at a gym only 5 minutes from our house so Sam, Joel and I came and went all day.  We even had time to run to a shop to buy a couple pair of shorts for Sam which will seem kind of funny when you get to the end of this post.  Jack's team placed second out of six teams.  We were proud of their hard work!

And then about the time we got home, it started snowing.  I can't tell you how discouraged the boys were by the sight of it.  They weren't seeing the beauty.
The boys played hockey in the living room, we ate a chicken curry that was mediocre at best, we got the house cleaned up and bodies washed up, and read together,

And that was pretty much the end of a nice and simple Saturday.

I'm still awake.  And only an hour and 10 minutes to go!
