A Little News

Mom is back home now after hip surgery. A physical therapist comes to her three times a week. She's not supposed to put any weight on her leg for six weeks. Dad started his radiation therapy a week ago Monday. When I offered to go be with them for a bit, they laughed. I'm still trying to figure out why. Anyway, they are being very well taken care of by our church family and my sister-in-law has been going over to be with Mom while Dad is away getting his daily treatments. I'm so thankful for Aracely!

Last week was a week-long break for our kids. We just did quiet, simple things...sleeping in the living room, extra-long reading times, a trip to the library, a magic show, Tintin at the movies, breakfast at Pacini's, board games. Jack and Sam were sick for a good part of the week. This put a damper on things, but at least they didn't miss school!

Spring is coming! We get little tastes of it now and again. The sign that cheers me and aggravates me all at once is all the soggy outerwear that the boys drag in after playing outside. We actually had rain yesterday (yes!) and then ice (shoot!). So even though we still have a good bit of snow in our front yard, we can see the light at the end of the long winter tunnel.

And I will end with this--Daylight Savings Time, oh how I love you!

P.S.  Just a little reminder nudge..."the gospel must be the medicine we take EVERY day".  I go (almost) daily to my I believe page so I can "fill my sails".  I'd sure like your company out on the high seas.  If you ever have anything to share, you know I'd love it if you did.  We all need each other, you know?
