The Lowdown*

Voila...the results of The 5 Love Languages assessments for my three boys.

8 Words of Affirmation
8 Quality Time
8 Receiving Gifts
4 Acts of Service
2 Physical Touch

7 Words of Affirmation
4 Quality Time
4 Acts of Service
3 Receiving Gifts
2 Physical Touch

My observations:
1.  I'm shocked to see that the order is the same for all 3 (exception: Joel has acts of service and gifts flip-flopped)
2.   All those loads of laundry and hours in the kitchen crying over onions don't say squat to these dudes of mine.
3.   I might be over-analyzing (as I'm sometimes wont to do) but I'm wondering if the results mean that those top two or three are there in that spot because the kids are lacking those in their lives.
4.  This was really good for me to see.  A very good reminder to drop what I'm doing to play a game or speak some kind words to build up my chiquitos.
5.  I'm still going to do the laundry and keep the house clean and make supper (maybe), but I'll know that they aren't really messages of love to my sons.  And I'm still going to kiss 'em and squeeze 'em, but that'll be for ME, and they'll just have to tough it out! :)

*wouldn't The Lowdown be a great name for a blog??
