Le foot

Sam had his first football game on Saturday morning.  I was out around 5:30 and it was pouring, so I was afraid there might not even be one.  But by game-time, it had stopped, and about 11:00 the sun came out and gave us a beautiful, warm morning.

I'm not a big football fan, so I was surprised by the emotions I felt when we first hopped out of the car and walked towards the field.  His team was already out there practicing when we arrived, and it was the first time I had seen him dressed in his Rochebelle football finest. I surely couldn't find him at first and never would have the whole game, had Mark not told me he was #17.   But then...wow!
I'm not ashamed to say that I really didn't have much of a clue about what was happening and didn't think it was all that interesting unless #17 was out there doing his wide-receiver thang.  Then, I was all consumed.  Thankfully, he played  a LOT or I might have been bored.
And then I spotted this little sweet doll.  It was all I could do to keep myself from eating him up.  I'd like one of these, PLEASE!
The Lasers won the game (36-40) so it was a pretty great Saturday morning!
