She was not kidding

Mom decided to go ahead and shave her head when she began to lose her hair.  She sent me this picture.  She thought that I could imagine what she looked like by seeing my grandpa and my uncles.
Then she sent me this one.  Can you believe it?

Here's the latest from her:

Dear ones,
I'm 1/3 of the way through chemo!  Today's appointment with my oncologist was encouraging and the 5 hours of IV fluids and meds went quite quickly and uneventfully for me.   Rich read to me when I wasn't dozing.  Our dear friend, Ruth Klopp, came again and this time brought a very special yummy lunch for me!  I couldn't stop eating though I should have made it into at least two meals!!  We had such a lovely visit.  Meanwhile, Rich walked to Arby's for lunch.
Tomorrow afternoon I will go back to my oncologist to get a shot which will tell my bone marrow to produce white cells.  This med is similar to the two shots I had in the hospital.  Please pray that I will be able to fight off any infection that comes my way.  And thank you again for praying so faithfully.  I know you have been because I am getting so many emails, cards, and letters that assure me of that, AND God is answering!
God is good, all the time!  All the time, God is good!

Thanks for praying for her.
