A Day at Camp Billington

Kids had Monday off from school (Canadian Thanksgiving), and so we had hoped to go to Jacques Cartier Park and hike and have a picnic. But the weather didn't look good for those kind of activities. Mark and I decided instead to plan out a whole day (basically to the minute) of family fun here at home. So it was just like camp, and it turned out to be a lot of fun--at least Mark and I thought it did. Maybe I'll have the kids comment later and we'll see what they have to say about it. Here was our camp schedule:

8:00-10:00 Walk to Cap Rouge and eat breakfast at O Tracel.
10:15-11:00 Draw or write letters and listen to Adventures in Odysseys together.
11:00-12:00 Watch The Price is Right
12:00-12:30 Football in soccer field (Mom made lunch and Joel played in his room here)
12:45-1:15 Lunch
1:30-2:00 Mom read The Bellmaker to boys
2:00-4:00 Madden NFL tournament with Dad (Joel naps/Mom starts Hoosier chili)
4:00-4:30 Make caramel apples
4:30-5:00 Free time
5:00-5:15 Family tag in the backyard
5:15-5:30 Quick tidying up of the house
5:30-6:00 Eat chili supper
6:00-6:30 After-supper chores and free time
6:30-7:00 Mom and Dad couch time--free time for boys
7:00-7:20 Eat caramel apples
7:20-7:35 Showers
7:35-8:00 Sam read to Joel/Jack read to Dad/Mom put away laundry
8:00-8:30 brush teeth and read (Dad to Sam and Jack/Mom to Joel)
8:30 lights out
