I wrote this in an email to my mom this week:

He's so lovey with me--likes to cuddle and stay on my lap for more than 20 seconds (which Sam and Jack would NEVER do at this age) and says "I need a hug" and other cute stuff like that. He's also a very grateful little guy and says thank you a lot. I didn't think he really understood what he was saying and that maybe for him it was just something you say when you get what you're asking for, but lately it's been so genuine and not said at the usual places. Like tonight he was enjoying a cookie and I was taking pictures of him while he ate it. He just said, "Thank you, Mom." When I said, "For what?" he said something like, "For give me cookie." Isn't that sweet??

I'm so thankful to God for my three boys. I feel so blessed and humbled and very grateful!

Friday Night Football

Friday was an extremely warm day. The boys went out to the soccer field across from our house with Mark for a game of football after supper on Friday night. This is what they looked like when they came home--hot, sweaty, tired, and happy.

Les Colts ont écrasé les Saints

This is the news that Sam and Jack were hoping to see in le Journal Friday morning when they woke up. Mark, of course, watched the game (and recorded it for the unfortunate members of the family that were expected to be in bed by 8:30), but Sam asked him not to tell him the results; he wanted to open the paper and see for himself. As you can see in the background, breakfast was forgotten while they took a moment to celebrate.
Oh, and by the way, écrasé means crushed. Good job, Colts!!
